Innovative and uncommon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A disruptive conference for a changing real estate sector<\/strong>. An event that, on top of just pure propert<br \/>\nmatters, will address through international-class speakers the issues that are not only affecting but, in fact, <span class=\"gold\">re-shaping both our world and our industry<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"gold size-44 w-bold\">Consequently, SQUARE is born with the goal of trying<br \/>\n\u0003to get answers to a simple, yet deep, question:<br \/>\nWHERE ARE WE HEADED??<\/span><\/p>\n<p>So, at SQUARE we\u2019ll try to answer questions such as these:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Where is the <strong>property<\/strong> industry going?<\/li>\n<li>What <strong>challenges<\/strong> will it face in the next 5, 10, 20 years?<\/li>\n<li>How <strong>technology<\/strong> is already changing it?<\/li>\n<li>And how much will technology still change our industry in the years to come?<\/li>\n<li>How <strong>crypto-currencies<\/strong> will pose a challenge to the central banks, i.e. the Fed and the ECB, and thus to the political bodies behind them??<\/li>\n<li>How cryptos are to affect property transactions?<\/li>\n<li>How <strong>migrations<\/strong> and an <strong>aging population<\/strong> are to change our cities?<\/li>\n<li>What new values and patterns will <strong>millennials<\/strong> follow in very few years when it comes to living, travelling, working or shopping?<\/li>\n<li>How all these issues are to affect not only long term but also short term to the different real estate products?<\/li>\n<li>And consequently, <strong>how are investors facing such challenges and trying to anticipate them?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And that\u2019s why <strong>SQUARE<\/strong> will devote its first day (June 27th, at 3.00 pm) to give <span class=\"gold\">\u201cfood for thought\u201d to the \u201cmovers &amp; shakers\u201d<\/span> of property that will attend it.\u00a0 The three Keynote Speakers supplying \u201cfood for thought\u201d will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/dr-tillmann-lauk-ll-m-5784a4ab\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Dr. Tillmann Lauk<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<span class=\"gold\">Former Deutsche Bank\u2019s Global Board of Directors member<\/span>, who will give us his views on the triple crisis of Western Capitalism: democracy, banking and currency\u2026 and why cryptos can definitely be part of the solutions to it.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbs.ox.ac.uk\/community\/people\/andrew-baum\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Dr. Andrew Baum<\/strong><\/a> <span class=\"gold\">Oxford\u2019s Said Business School Practice Professor and Property Funds \u2028Research\u2019s Chairman<\/span>, who will share his views on technology and property, that is, how technology is to change our real estate world and how it will change the big investors\u2019 criteria.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jeannouvel.com\/en\/jean-nouvel\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Jean Nouvel<\/strong><\/a> <span class=\"gold\">Pritzker Prize Winner<\/span>, who will tell us how he envisions cities 20 years from now.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And then, the day after, on Thursday, the 28th, we\u2019ll have the \u201cdown to business\u201d program.\u00a0 There will be four sessions, one per segment of the property industry: \u201cresi\u201d, \u201coffices\u201d, \u201chotels\u201d and \u201cretail + logistics\u201d\u2026 plus a session on something common to all such segments: money, that is, there will be a \u201cclosing session\u201d on \u201cinvestment\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Each one of these sessions will have this structure: 20-25 minutes of \u201ca solo presentation\u201d, then a 30-35-minute debate with two\/three bright players from each segment, and then a 15-20 minute very open debate\/discussion with the floor, so that attendees will be able to not only ask a question but also, if they feel like, give their opinion or make their own statement (\u201ctiny speech\u201d).<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"w-bold\">That\u2019s what SQUARE will be about<\/span>. Well, it will be about that\u2026 but also, why not?, <span class=\"gold\">about meeting the peers and sharing talks and experiences<\/span> in a distended, relaxed ambiance; with enough time to enjoy a good quiet Ibiza countryside dinner or a lively one, with a cigar and a drink while feeling the breeze of a Mediterranean night.<\/p>\n<p>We do hope you like the programmes (in plural) that we have designed for you.<br \/>\nThanks for considering them. <strong>And we look forward to eventually seeing you in Ibiza on June 27th-28th<\/strong> (and in Formentera on the 29th).<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"gold size-44\"><strong>About the organizer<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong>SQUARE<\/strong> is organized by a small, devoted and enthusiastic team led by <strong>Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Pons<\/strong> (CEO &#038; Founder) who was also the Founding Managing Director of \u201cBarcelona Meeting Point\u201d in 1997 and who ran it until 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here comes SQUARE, a new class of real estate gathering.
